Project Environment
The role is part of a research, business analytics and dashboarding function responsible for conducting high-quality IT, technology, market and business research. Information from internal and external sources is systematically identified, analysed, evaluated and prepared for management and specialist departments.
The function also supports enterprise search and AI-enabled knowledge and information systems by providing reliable, structured information and contributing to the development of data-, knowledge- and AI-based solutions.
Research forms the core of the position. The Senior Consultant independently examines complex IT, technology, market and business questions and converts the findings into robust executive briefings, analyses and decision-making materials.

Responsibilities
- Independently conduct complex IT, technology, market and business research.
- Systematically identify, evaluate and combine qualitative and quantitative information.
- Assess the reliability, relevance and limitations of internal and external information sources.
- Structure research and business questions and select appropriate analytical methods.
- Conduct market, usage, trend, benchmarking, KPI, performance and economic analyses.
- Develop and apply scoring, evaluation, maturity and scenario models.
- Define relevant indicators, metrics and analytical logic for management decision support.
- Analyse structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns and decision-relevant insights.
- Combine qualitative research findings with quantitative analysis.
- Translate analytical results into evidence-based recommendations.
- Design and develop management dashboards, decision cockpits and comparable analytical products.
- Develop KPI systems and performance-monitoring structures.
- Apply data visualisation and data-storytelling techniques to communicate complex findings.
- Present developments, options, risks and decision requirements clearly and appropriately.
- Produce executive briefings, management reports, decision papers and analytical summaries.
- Design, plan and lead one or more consulting, research or analytics projects.
- Define project objectives, methods, work packages, schedules and deliverables.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary stakeholders from research, technology, business, analytics and management.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for management committees, specialist departments and project teams.
- Ensure that analytical results are understandable, traceable and suitable for executive decision-making.
- Develop reusable data, information, knowledge and analytical products.
- Continuously improve research, analytics, dashboarding and reporting methods.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree, diploma or doctorate in a field relevant to the position.
- German language skills at CEFR C1 level.
- English language skills at CEFR B2 level.
- Demonstrable knowledge of systematic research and analytical methods.
- Experience identifying, evaluating and combining qualitative and quantitative information.
- Experience preparing complex research findings for management and specialist audiences.

Required Professional Experience

- At least four years of experience independently conducting complex IT, technology, market or business research.
- At least three years of experience conducting data-based analyses, particularly KPI, performance, market, usage, benchmarking, trend or economic analyses.
- At least three years of experience designing, developing or enhancing management dashboards, decision cockpits or comparable analytical products.
- At least two years of experience developing or applying KPI systems, scoring models, evaluation models, maturity models or scenario analyses.
- At least three years of experience preparing and presenting executive briefings, management reports, decision papers or comparable analytical deliverables.
The required experience should represent continuous and substantive responsibility rather than isolated or occasional participation.

Working Conditions
- Approximately 80% of the work may be performed remotely.
- Business travel of up to 20% of working time may be required.
