People & Knowledge Management – Community & Internal Communication

Role Overview

The Senior IT Expert is responsible for the strategic and operational development of internal content and community management within a large-scale shared services environment. The role focuses on building, managing, and continuously improving digital communities and internal communication channels in alignment with centrally defined communication standards.

This position combines strategic campaign management, editorial expertise, stakeholder coordination, and digital community governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage long-term internal communication campaigns
  • Develop and implement strategic concepts for social intranet and comparable digital platforms
  • Build, grow, and steer digital communities, including monitoring and reporting
  • Produce and edit high-quality content tailored to different target audiences
  • Moderate digital platforms and manage feedback processes
  • Ensure consistent tone, language quality, and communication standards
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across departments and organizational levels
  • Provide advisory support in internal communication and community engagement topics
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of knowledge-sharing formats and engagement structures

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in German studies, communication, journalism, media studies, or a comparable field
  • Alternatively, equivalent professional experience in internal communication or community management
  • Native-level or C2 German language proficiency (CEFR standard)

Professional Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in community management, internal communication, or journalistic/editorial roles
  • At least 3 years of experience building and steering digital communities (including monitoring and reporting)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience writing and editing news articles or internal publications
  • At least 3 years of experience in content moderation, including advisory and feedback management

All required experience must reflect continuous and substantial professional activity within the relevant subject area.

  • Valid certifications must be current at the time of submission
  • Equivalent qualifications may be accepted if they demonstrably meet the required standards
  • Project references (if requested) must include:
    • Industry
    • Project title
    • Short project description
    • Duration of assignment
    • Detailed description of tasks and responsibilities
