Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the coordination, planning, and delivery of complex IT transformation initiatives within a structured and regulated environment.
The role focuses on integrated product support, harmonization of IT systems, implementation of standardized data exchanges, and the introduction of new digital solutions.
The position requires strong leadership in cross-functional project environments, combining technical, organizational, and strategic responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• End-to-end responsibility for the coordination, planning, execution, and completion of small to medium-sized IT infrastructure projects
• Ensuring compliance with defined timelines, budgets, and quality objectives throughout the project lifecycle
• Managing projects from initial setup through final delivery and closure

Planning, Control & Reporting

• Creation and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and milestones
• Identification, coordination, and management of dependencies, risks, and changes
• Preparation of project reports, decision papers, data analyses, and management presentations
• Responsibility for cost controlling and project-related reporting

Stakeholder & Requirement Management

• Central responsibility for stakeholder management across technical, business, and external parties
• Support of requirements management and contribution to offer and proposal processes
• Coordination of effort estimations and preparation of service descriptions

Coordination & Execution

• Coordination and independent execution of work packages
• Support and alignment of involved teams and contributors
• Continuous improvement of project execution through structured planning and communication

Qualifications & Certifications

Education

• Degree in business administration or an IT-related field (Bachelor or equivalent), or
• Completed commercial or IT-related vocational training combined with extensive professional experience (minimum 6 years)

Project Management & Service Management

• Certification in recognized project management standards (e.g. IPMA Level D or equivalent)
• Basic knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL Foundation)
• Certification and experience in scaled agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe)

Architecture, Transformation & Tools

• Experience in architecture management and enterprise architecture methodologies
• Knowledge of process modeling and digital transformation management
• Familiarity with innovation strategies and organizational development
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, and Microsoft Office
• Experience with data lifecycle management and integrated product support data models

Professional Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in project management roles
• Proven experience managing complex IT projects
• Experience in architecture management and process modeling
• Hands-on experience with change management and transformation initiatives
• Experience working with structured data sources and lifecycle data management

Language Skills

• German: C1 level (CEFR)
• English: B1 level (CEFR)
