Location: Düsseldorf or Paderborn, Germany

Type: Full-time/%80-100 Remote

Requirements:

The candidate must meet the following mandatory criteria. Failure to provide proof will lead to exclusion from the evaluation process

• Education: University degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. Professional Experience:
• At least 8 years of professional Java development experience, including roles as a Lead Developer or Technical Lead. 
• Language Skills: German C1 level or higher (CEFR)

Full Score Criteria :

Maximum points are awarded for::

• Large-scale Projects: Proven experience in extremely large or complex projects (>1,000 Person-Days). 
• Legacy Modernization: Documented success in modernizing legacy Java monoliths into microservices or modular architectures (Struts/EJB to Spring Boot/Quarkus). 
• Test Automation Skills: Expertise in establishing comprehensive test automation strategies (JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers,Cucumber/Selenium) with a focus on high coverage and CI/CD integration. 
• Mentoring & Leadership: Strong track record in mentoring developers and establishing standards (Design Reviews, Architectural Decision Records, Java best practices).

Reference Projects:

Bidders must provide at least one comparable reference project for this lot to demonstrate suitability. The following standards apply:

• Reference Period: The project must have been completed or have ongoing phases within the last 3 years (reference period: 03.03.2023 – 03.03.2026).
