Position: IT Systems Engineer-Technical Manager 2

Tasks:

• Collaboration in the design, further development, and documentation of IT network, and virtualization environments
• Integration of fundamental IT security measures (e.g., system hardening, authorization and access concepts, backup and recovery strategies) into IT systems
• Support in the automation, standardization, and monitoring of IT systems
• Creation, maintenance, and further development of technical architecture, operational, and security documentation
• Support in the management of suppliers and subcontractors
• Support in determining the degree of progress and cash outflow in the project

Requirements:

• Completed vocational training in the IT field or a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
• Very good knowledge of Windows and Linux environments as well as virtualization and backup technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Veeam)
• Experience or strong interest in IT system architecture, IT security, and secure system designs
• Basics in scripting languages and automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible)
• Analytical thinking skills, structured approach to work, and a strong willingness to learn
• Technological curiosity and motivation to familiarize yourself with complex IT systems and security issues
• Enjoy working in a team to achieve a common goal
• Good written and spoken English and German skills
• Willingness to travel worldwide, but with a focus on working at our location in Bremen
