Project / Service Overview
The role is part of a Digital Workplace service area focused on mobile communication services. The service includes the procurement and provisioning of mobile devices, tablets, accessories, and mobile contracts, including SIM cards. It also includes follow-up processing of monthly mobile base fees and connection charges from carriers, as well as the administration of mobile framework agreements with carriers.
The position supports the delivery of mobile communication services in a large-scale mobile environment with approximately 200,000 mobile connections. The role requires close collaboration with customers, users, carriers, suppliers, and service providers. A strong customer and service-oriented mindset is essential.
Responsibilities
The Associate IT Expert will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Procure and provide mobile devices, tablets, and accessories according to defined requirements.
- Initiate and monitor provisioning processes for mobile communication services.
- Manage the return, maintenance, care, and storage of mobile devices.
- Ensure timely delivery of devices and accessories.
- Record and document delivery, provisioning, and service activities.
- Coordinate delivery processes for hardware and accessories with mobile carriers and suppliers.
- Maintain intensive communication with customers, users, carriers, and service providers.
- Support mobile contract and SIM card-related service processes.
- Perform online activation and dispatch of SIM cards.
- Support the operational delivery of mobile communication services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of orders, devices, SIM cards, and service-related activities.
- Ensure service-oriented handling of user and customer requests.
- Support smooth cooperation between internal stakeholders, carriers, and external providers.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant experience in an IT-supported order management environment.
- Understanding of mobile communication services, mobile devices, SIM cards, carriers, and provisioning processes is desirable.
- Ability to work with IT-based ordering, tracking, documentation, or service management systems.
- Strong service orientation and willingness to work in a user-facing environment.
- Structured and reliable approach to operational order processing and documentation.
Required Professional Experience
The candidate should have:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in IT-supported order management.
- Experience in ordering, provisioning, tracking, documenting, or coordinating IT or telecommunication services.
- Experience working with mobile devices, accessories, SIM cards, carriers, or service providers is an advantage.
- Experience communicating with customers, users, suppliers, and external service providers.
- Experience ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation of ordered products or services.
- Experience working in structured service processes and operational support environments.
Language Requirements
- German: C1 level according to CEFR.
Proof of language skills may be provided through a CV, certificate, reference, self-declaration, or equivalent evidence. Native German speakers are exempt from providing separate proof.
