Position: IT Accessibility – KONSENS Compatible

Location: Düsseldorf or Paderborn, Germany

Type: Full-time/%80 Remote

Overall Objective: Support the RZF (Rechenzentrum der Finanzverwaltung) and the Finance Administration in meeting all accessibility requirements in IT. Goal is to build and maintain future-secure IT that complies with all legal accessibility requirements.

Scope of Services

  • Conception and implementation of targeted training programs on accessibility for software developers, executives, project managers, project staff, process managers, and document managers.
  • Development consulting for all types of software
  • Conception and development of solutions for accessibility of existing software and documents in collaboration with affected users and subject departments
  • Consultation on integration of legally mandated accessibility in business processes
  • Analysis and implementation of software testing according to BITV 2.0 and EN 301 549
  • Maintenance and expansion of the knowledge database for accessible IT at RZF

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria: 

  • Professional Experience as Consultant: Minimum 5 years as an accessibility consultant in IT as primary activity. Evidence required via project reference including project description, activity description, IT tools/technologies used, scope (person-days), and timeline (project start and end with month/year). 
  • CPACC Certification: Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) – Zertifizierte Fachkraft für Kernkompetenzen der Barrierefreiheit. Evidence required through certificates. 
  • Non-Web Application Experience: Minimum 3 years testing and consulting on non-web application accessibility. Evidence via project reference. 
  • Mobile Application Experience: Minimum 3 years testing and consulting on mobile applications/apps accessibility. Evidence via project reference. 
  • Accessibility Concept Development: Minimum 3 years experience in accessibility concept creation. Evidence via project reference.
  • Software and Hardware Testing: Minimum 3 years in software and hardware testing for accessibility. Evidence via project reference.
  • Collaboration with Affected Users: Minimum 1 year experience working with affected users. Evidence via project reference.
  • Language Skills: Good German language skills (Min C1)(written and spoken) as self-declaration in profile.
