Role Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Legal Entity Controller (m/f/d) for our client at the Munich location.
The position holder is responsible for the following tasks and activities:

Planning & Coordination

  • Coordination of ongoing planning activities (budget / forecast / outlook).
  • Support and coordination of closing-related topics, including profit center accounting and commentary for financial statements.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Determination of the monthly financial results for SfS (P&L / balance sheet, cash flow, and key figures).
  • Comprehensive commercial support for the assigned departments, including:
    • Planning of primary operating costs and alignment with the responsible department.
    • Coordination and reconciliation of intercompany revenues and expenses with partner entities.
    • Investment planning.
    • Coordination and validation of headcount planning, including evaluation.

Operational Controlling

  • Proactive cost controlling and continuous investment controlling.
  • Preparation of commentary and reconciliations for the responsible area.
  • Processing of purchase requests and personnel requirements.

Period-End Closing

  • Execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Ensuring the completeness of all postings and accruals within the assigned area.
  • Allocation and settlement of relevant intercompany revenues/expenses.
  • Responsibility for accruals and provisions of the respective area.

Systems & Tools Management

  • Key contact for tools used by the Legal Entity Controlling team (e.g., risk management & profitability tracking).
  • Support in internal control system (ICS) and compliance-related topics.

Process & Tool Improvement

  • Independent further development of controlling processes and tools within the company.
  • Execution of special tasks within the controlling department.
  • Position is equivalent to a team lead role but without personnel responsibility.

Evaluation Criteria (TOM)

Education

One of the following:

  • Bachelors degree in a comparable qualification
  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience
  • Several years of experience in a controlling environment

IT Skills

  • MS Office: advanced expert knowledge
  • SAP: advanced expert knowledge
  • SAP-FI (Finance): advanced expert knowledge
  • SAP R/3: advanced expert knowledge
  • Confident use of SAP, SEM-BCS, and OLAP databases

Language Skills

  • German: business fluent
  • English: business fluent

Additional Knowledge

  • Very good knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS accounting standards
