Position Overview

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for managing small-scale IT projects with limited complexity. The role involves overseeing projects from solution development to implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. The position requires coordination of stakeholders, reporting, and collaboration with internal and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute small IT projects from solution development to operational deployment.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality targets.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and perform cost control.
  • Prepare project reporting, including status updates and progress metrics.
  • Assist in creating project plans, identifying dependencies, risks, and changes.
  • Coordinate external service providers as required.
  • Support administrative tasks related to project management.
  • Plan, conduct, and follow up on workshops.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, or comparable vocational training. Equivalent professional experience with a minimum of 3 years is acceptable.
  • Certifications: Basic project management knowledge (e.g., GPM or equivalent).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a project team member or consultant in digitalization projects, preferably within public administration.
    • Minimum 1 year of project leadership experience.
    • Proficiency with project management tools, such as Jira, MS Project, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Languages: German (C1) and English (B1) according to CEFR standards.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong teamwork abilities.
    • Professional conduct and communication skills.
    • Clear and precise expression.
