Position Overview

The role provides legal advisory and support for procurement activities across various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The position supports the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts and provides guidance on IT procurement, licensing, and emerging technologies such as cloud computing and AI. The role also involves coordination with other departments, including data protection, compliance, and security, to ensure cohesive legal and operational practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise the procurement department on all relevant legal matters.
• Draft, review, and maintain contracts with suppliers, including contracts in English.
• Lead or support complex contract negotiations in both German and English.
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates for procurement activities.
• Conduct legal research and provide solutions for procurement-related legal questions.
• Act as an interface between procurement and other departments, including IT security, compliance, and export control.
• Maintain and manage reporting and organizational integration within the legal advisory function.

Qualifications

• Fluent German (C1) and good English (B1) proficiency.
• Completed legal education, including both state exams or equivalent qualifications.
• Several years of professional experience in procurement law, with a focus on IT contracts, cloud services, licensing agreements, and AI-related legal issues.
• Proven experience negotiating contracts with large IT vendors.
