Tasks:
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Coordinate ongoing planning activities (Budget / Forecast / Outlook).
- Ensure completeness of all accounting entries and accruals within Knorr-Bremse Rail Vehicle Systems GmbH (SfS).
- Support and coordinate closing activities, including Profit Center accounting and commentary on financial results.
- Determine the monthly financial results of SfS (Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Key Performance Indicators).
Commercial Business Partnering
Provide comprehensive commercial support to assigned departments, including:
- Planning primary operating expenses and coordinating with responsible departments.
- Reconciling intercompany (IC) revenues and expenses with partner companies.
- Investment planning.
- Coordinating and validating headcount planning and related cost assessments.
Operational Controlling
- Proactive cost controlling.
- Ongoing investment controlling.
- Commentary and reconciliation for responsible business areas.
- Processing purchase requisitions and personnel requests.
Period-End Closings
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Ensure completeness of all postings and accruals within assigned areas.
- Manage allocation of relevant intercompany revenues and expenses.
- Take responsibility for accruals and provisions within assigned departments.
Systems, Compliance & Process Improvement
- Serve as the key contact for tools used by the Legal Entity Controlling Team (including Risk Management and Profitability Tracking).
- Support Internal Control System (ICS) and compliance activities.
- Independently develop and improve controlling tools and processes within SfS.
- Take on special controlling-related projects and assignments.
Position Level
- Equivalent to a Team Leader position in responsibility and seniority, but without direct personnel management responsibilities.
Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Several years of experience in a controlling/financial controlling environment.
- German: Business fluent / English: Business fluent
Advanced/expert-level knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office
- SAP
- SAP FI (Finance)
- SAP R/3
- Confident use of SAP, SEM-BCS, and OLAP databases
Technical Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS accounting standards.
- Industry, manufacturing, and/or leadership experience within a company of comparable size.
