Tasks:
We are looking for a Development Engineer

The job holder (m/f/d) is responsible for the following tasks and activities.

  • Independent handling of customer complaints in cooperation with the
  • Development, Testing, Quality, and Project Management departments
  • Analysis of complex technical issues and coordination of measures for sustainable problem solving with a focus on brake discs, brake pads, actuators, and brake control.
  • Moderation of interdisciplinary 8D teams for structured problem solving
  • Field series support: Technical product handling and troubleshooting
  • Creation of customer documentation, including 8D reports, test specifications, and detailed work instructions
  • Series support for production sites worldwide
  • Conducting assessments, coordination meetings, and presentations of investigation results on site at the customer's premises
  • Technical support for the complaints team at the Budapest site
  • Close cooperation with the quality and development teams at the Berlin, Krakow, and Pamplona sites

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Vehicle Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • MS Office, at least basic knowledge of detailed functions
  • Good knowledge of CAD, FEM
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Experience in the field of brake pad, brake disc, and actuator development and applications desirable
  • Very good knowledge of design, materials technology, and mechanics of
    machine elements
  • In-depth knowledge of the application of quality management 8D methods such as Ishikawa/ Fishborn diagrams, risk analysis, the 5 Whys method, and root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Additional qualifications in statistics (e.g., Sig Sigma black belt desirable)
  • Good communication skills in cross-departmental collaboration
  • Independent working style, coordination and integration skills, assertiveness
  • Ability to integrate into a team
  • High level of responsibility, resilience, and organizational skills
  • Stress resistance when faced with a high workload
