Software Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Position: Software Test Engineer

Location: Gilching, Heimertingen

Type: Full-time

Tasks:

• Developing and implementing test strategies, plans, and cases for new and existing software products in a military context
• Conducting manual and automated tests to ensure software quality
• Analyzing and documenting test results and creating detailed
  defect reports
• Collaborating with software developers and product managers to clarify
  requirements and optimize processes
• Setting up and maintaining test automation frameworks
• Ensuring that the software complies with applicable standards (e.g., functionality, security, performance, and usability)
• Participating in code reviews and continuously improving QA processes
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a comparable STEM field, or comparable technical vocational training (e.g., IT specialist)
• Relevant professional experience, preferably several years, in software testing
• In-depth knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Ranorex, Jenkins, or similar
• Understanding of software development processes and methodologies (e.g., V-Model, Agile)
• Experience with bug-tracking and version control systems (e.g., Jira, XRay, Git)
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a structured approach to work 
• Strong commitment to quality
• Solution-oriented thinking and a willingness to pursue professional development
• Ability to work well in a team
• Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
