Position: Development Engineer for Transportation Systems and Operational Processes

Tasks:

• Organizing development projects in the field of transportation and shipping, in which customized solutions (processes and tools) are designed for highly sensitive components
• Forming interdisciplinary project teams to coordinate and provide technical guidance on the project team's solutions in collaboration with internal colleagues and external partners
• Managing project progress, presenting updates, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality, and cost targets, and successfully bringing the development to completion within the scope of your budgetary responsibility Examining technical requirements, clarifying open issues, evaluating and analyzing solution concepts and potential risks, and designing processes using all necessary tools
• Address emerging issues, proactively plan investments, costs, and staffing needs, make adjustments, implement development results on-site, and put the developed processes and tools into operation
• Support operations during the development and mass production phases, identify risks, analyze weaknesses, implement optimization measures, and address problems in a targeted and expert manner to ultimately hand over the development results to production
• In summary, you would make a decisive contribution to the future direction of our logistics and shipping operations

Requirements:

• A bachelor's or master's degree with good or very good grades in a technical field (e.g., mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering, or similar); practical experience and/or a Ph.D. are also desirable
• Initial professional experience in the relevant field—ideally with knowledge of track-and?trace systems in custom machine manufacturing—along with a strong interest in and understanding of technology will support you
• As an inquisitive pioneer, you demonstrate personal responsibility and independence, and foster a solution-oriented, supportive atmosphere in your interactions with colleagues
• Willingness to take on responsibility and a structured approach to work, as well as the ability to act as a reliable, committed, and assertive problem-solver who takes pleasure in achieving goals
• Passion and creative ideas, as well as a high degree of cooperation and communication skills to lead an interdisciplinary team with a variety of interfaces, both organizationally and technically 
• Proficiency in MS Office and CAD, preferably also SAP, and—most importantly—a desire to tackle this challenge
