Projekt – Test Engineer

Customer segment: Government, Military

Candidate's place of residence: The candidate has been living in Switzerland for 10 years

The customer demands a WBS-Personal safety check: If a WBS 11 or WBS 10.2 already exists, it must be valid for at least 6 months from the start of the project. If no WBS 11 or WBS 10.2 is available, there must be a willingness to go through such a process. The last 10 years are examined.

Task:

• Responsibility for the planning, execution and documentation of tests and software solutions
• Creation, maintenance and further development of test cases, test protocols and test certificates
• Implementation and further development of test automation as well as creation and maintenance of test scripting
• Implementation of API and database testing as well as ensuring quality along modern development processes
• Collaboration in the integration of tests into CI/CD and DevOps processes as well as support in deployment and release processes
• Ensuring suitable test environments, maintaining the configuration management of the test equipment and complying with quality management specifications
• Active participation in the optimization of test processes, test methodology and technical quality standards

Requirements/Skill:

• Higher vocational training in computer science or technically adept career changer with several years of experience in software testing
• In-depth experience as a test engineer, especially in test automation, test scripting and structured testing
• Very good knowledge of test methodology and strategy as well as agile software development and modern testing approaches
• Experience in API and database testing as well as a good understanding of modern development and deployment processes
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jira, Xray and GitLab is an advantage
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness and enjoyment of working with interdisciplinary teams
• Fluent in German; Knowledge of English and/or French is an advantage
• Advantageous: Military career as a senior non-commissioned officer or officer
