Our client is an independent creative agency that designs immersive venues, gathers original content, develops compelling experiences around live audiences, and organizes interconnected campaigns.
Currently we are looking for a Finance Coordinator (3-month contract) for our client at the Abu Dhabi location. This person will be a key member of the Finance team, supporting the Project Accountant to ensure production finance is up to date, focusing on production petty cash requirements. Candidates must have their own visa or dependent visa.
Location: Yas island, Abu Dhabi
Contract Duration: 29-Sept to 19-Dec
Responsibilities include:
- Working with production heads of departments (i.e., tech, ops, costumes, props, creative, casting, etc.) to establish petty cash requirements and manage multiple petty cash floats (one float per department).
- Ensure all department petty cash floats have clear records, including ensuring all receipts are received and logged.
- Work with department petty cash representatives to balance all petty cash reports.
- Upload all petty cash receipts to the People corporate finance system.
- Work with the People corporate finance team to obtain petty cash and refill petty cash floats as required.
- Assist with maintenance of all petty cash files, both paper and electronic, ensuring information is easily accessible and understandable.
- Assist with the creation and issuance of POs, as required.
- Support the project accountant with any other finance team duties, as required.
- Other duties as required.
Role Focus
- As Finance Petty Cash Coordinator, you will manage all production petty cash requirements.
- You assist the project accountant in maintaining clear petty cash tracking and filing.
- You are well versed in accounting practices and dealing with suppliers and production team members.
Skillsets:
- Organized so that clear files are kept for all accounts payable.
- Attention to detail is key to ensuring procurement documents are accurate and purchase orders match.
- Negotiation Skills: Adept at negotiating with suppliers while remaining respectful of ongoing working relationships.
- Time Management skills are essential in managing one's own time, deadlines and any tracking spreadsheets.
- Discretion is key as you work with confidential information.
- Microsoft Office has excellent/advanced Excel capabilities. Word and Outlook. Proficiency with Procim preferred but not required (training will be provided)
