Our client, a prestigious international arbitration center in Dubai, is looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organization by managing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This is a key leadership role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's financial strategies and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee accurate financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Monitor performance against the budget and report variances.
  • Accounting Oversight: Supervise and review daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and external auditors during financial audits. Prepare documentation and respond to auditor inquiries.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the companys cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Tax Planning & Compliance: Oversee tax planning, preparation, and filing of tax returns. Ensure adherence to tax regulations and optimize tax strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement risk management procedures to maintain financial stability.
  • Corporate Credit Management: Oversee the management of corporate credit cards and ensure proper reconciliation.
  • Casework Financials: Review casework financial summaries and coordinate payments with the Registrar and Deputy Registrar.

Qualifications:

  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting ideally from a similar industry.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
