Job Description:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting operations in a paper trading business, ensuring full compliance with UAE financial regulations. This role involves VAT accounting, balance sheet preparation, and overseeing banking transactions, including managing Letters of Credit (LC). Reporting directly to senior management, the Senior Accountant will also supervise a small team, requiring active involvement in daily accounting activities and accurate financial reporting.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- VAT Accounting & Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with UAE VAT regulations and are recorded accurately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other essential financial documents.
- Banking & LC Management: Handle banking relationships, manage LCs, and oversee transactions to ensure effective cash flow and financial stability.
- Team Supervision: Lead and support the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage invoices, payments, and collections to maintain steady cash flow.
- Trading-Specific Accounting: Handle inventory and cost accounting related to paper trading products.
- SAP Utilization: Use SAP for financial transactions, reporting, and analysis.

Candidate Profile:
- Language: Fluent in Arabic (Mandatory)
- Education: Bachelor's in accounting or a related field (additional accounting qualifications preferred)
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, punctuality, proactivity, and team management skills.

- Trading & Banking Expertise: Must have experience in the trading sector with proficiency in handling banking transactions and LCs.
