Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Compliance Consultant to assist our HRMS software development team in ensuring country-specific payroll compliance across various regions globally. This role involves providing detailed payroll, taxation, and compliance requirements per country and working closely with the development team to verify that these requirements are implemented correctly. The consultant will also be responsible for ensuring that the payroll output (payroll sheets) is accurate and compliant with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Country-Specific Payroll Requirements:
- Gather and provide detailed payroll requirements including statutory deductions, taxation rules, social security, and benefits for various countries.
- Ensure these requirements are accurately communicated to the software development team.
- Compliance & Taxation Knowledge:
- Provide insights on payroll-related tax compliance, labor laws, and statutory deductions across different regions (global scope).
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and ensure the software stays compliant with any updates.
- Implementation Support:
- Collaborate with the HRMS software development team to ensure the payroll functionality is developed according to the provided requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews of the software to verify the correct implementation of payroll features.
- Payroll Verification:
- Review payroll outputs (payroll sheets) to ensure they are accurate and compliant with the tax and payroll laws of respective countries.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to the development team to rectify any discrepancies or errors in payroll outputs.
- Testing & Auditing:
- Lead or participate in the testing phases of payroll features in the HRMS software.
- Conduct audits and compliance checks to ensure proper functionality.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of payroll compliance requirements, implementations, and any issues identified.
- Report to stakeholders on the progress of payroll compliance and suggest areas of improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in payroll compliance, preferably with global exposure.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, taxation, and labor laws in multiple countries.
- Experience working with HRMS or payroll software systems.
- Ability to interpret and explain complex payroll requirements to technical teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially in verifying payroll outputs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams (development, HR, legal).
- Experience with payroll audits, testing, and verification of software implementation.
