We are looking for an Air Freight/Operation Coordinator, who understands the day-to-day operations of freight forwarding, and air charters. and can manage key customers by providing a dedicated,, personalized service. The Airfreight professional will oversee A-to-Z of shipments and special projects and work in conjunction with a team of air and road operations ensuring their shipment of horses or live animals shipped as booked and delivered as promised.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end transportation requirements for horse/animal import and export.
  • Problem-solving and finding solutions internally and externally.
  • Have an understanding of workflow and supply chain in shipping.
  • Proactively generate new business inquiries through regular customer communication.
  • Collect details and documents from customers.
  • Consistent communication with all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with procedures and documentation.
  • Understanding of pricing and cost control on shipments
  • Ensure timely invoicing and efficient job closure processes.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure safe and timely clearances at airports and during road transportation with Field Ops.
  • Gain valuable insights by periodically attending flights at airports.
  • Maintain precise records and uphold compliance with regulations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and adhere to best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma
  • 3-5 years experience in airfreight, logistics, or freight forwarding.
  • Extensive administration and operations experience.
  • Service-minded with a positive attitude.
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated empathy and respect for others.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high administrative skills
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with logistics software.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management is an advantage.
  • Commercially savvy with a proactive approach to identifying upselling opportunities.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods and thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
  • Availability on mobile after office hours for emergencies involving live animals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of logistics and live animal transportation.
