Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Contract Type: 6-month contract, with possibility of extension or permanent absorption
Role summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment activities across multiple business units in a leading Abu Dhabi–based investment and holding group. The role focuses on attracting, assessing, and hiring high-calibre professionals, with a preference for candidates who understand investment, financial, and corporate functions, while remaining open to strong profiles from other industries.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle (intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer, and onboarding handover) across a range of roles and levels.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce plans, role requirements, and ideal candidate profiles.
- Source talent through multiple channels including direct sourcing, headhunting, networking, social media, job boards, and referrals.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles within investment, corporate, and enabling functions.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews, manage assessments where relevant, and support structured selection processes.
- Provide regular updates to hiring managers and HR Business Partners on search progress, candidate pipelines, and market feedback.
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, ensuring high-quality candidates and cost-effective delivery.
- Track and report recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, pipeline diversity, offer acceptance rates) and recommend improvements.
- Ensure all hiring activities comply with internal policies, governance standards, and UAE labour law.
- Support employer branding initiatives, careers content, and candidate experience improvements.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Ideally 6–12 years of hands-on recruitment experience, either in-house or in an agency setting.
- Experience recruiting for investment management, financial services, consulting, or corporate roles is strongly preferred; strong recruiters from other industries are also encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple requisitions and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of UAE labour law and hiring requirements.
Skills and competencies
- Strong sourcing capabilities, including proactive headhunting and direct search.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Structured interviewer with strong assessment and selection skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through.
- Preference for bilingual candidates (e.g., Arabic/English or Arabic/French).
