Job Title: Finance Executive

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including cash & bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and journal entries.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all financial records are complete in a timely manner.
2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Generate various financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budget vs. actual analysis.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to management to support strategic decision-making and planning.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Manage accounts payable processes, including processing invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments, coordinating with the sales and customer service teams as necessary.
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable balances to ensure accuracy and completeness with external stakeholders statements of accounts (SOA).
4. Financial Systems and Processes
- Utilize accounting software and financial systems effectively to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and maintain data integrity.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to financial processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is preferred but not required.
- 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounting, particularly in retail or related industries.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
