Job Overview
As a Retail Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service and support the day-to-day operations of a NStore. Overall, as a retail assistant, you will need to be friendly, helpful, and able to work well with others
Main Job Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting customers: You will be the first point of contact for customers as they enter the store. You will greet them, answer any questions they have, and provide guidance on products or services.
- Sales and promotions: You will need to stay up-to-date with current sales and promotions in the store and be able to effectively communicate them to customers.
- Stocking shelves and displays: You will be responsible for maintaining the store's appearance and ensuring that shelves are fully stocked with merchandise. This may involve physically lifting and carrying products.
- Operating the cash register: You will need to have basic math skills and be able to operate a cash register or point-of-sale system. You will also need to handle cash, credit card transactions, and returns or exchanges.
- Cleaning and organizing the store: You will be responsible for keeping the store clean and organized. This may involve sweeping, dusting, and rearranging displays.
- Customer service: You will need to be able to handle customer complaints, answer questions, and provide assistance to customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Product knowledge: You will need to have a good understanding of the products that the store sells and be able to provide recommendations to customers based on their needs.
