Working hours : Tuesday - Sunday (9am - 7pm) Sometimes need to be more flexible

Job Summary:

The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, dance and piano studio, apparel shop, and children's art centre. This role requires a versatile leader who can manage multiple aspects of the business, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for the arts and community engagement.


Job Scopes

Operational Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of the café, dance and piano studio, apparel shop, and children's art centre
  • Ensure all areas are staffed appropriately and run smoothly and efficiently
  • Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and customer service

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for each business unit
  • Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability
  • Prepare financial reports and provide insights to the owner/director

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff across all business units
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities

Customer Service

  • Ensure a high standard of customer service across all business units
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively
  • Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention

Marketing and Business Development

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the café, studios, shop, and art centre
  • Plan and execute events, workshops, and promotions
  • Build and maintain relationships with local community groups, schools, and businesses

Facility Management

  • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of all facilities & Coordinate repairs and upgrades as needed

Inventory Management

  • Oversee inventory levels for the café and apparel shop & Implement effective stock control systems


Job Requirement

Qualifications

    1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a similar multifaceted environment
    2. Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management
    3. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
    4. Proven ability to manage multiple business units and a diverse team
    5. Passion for the arts, community engagement, and customer service
    6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management software
