Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite profitable Political Risk & Trade Credit business in line with the companys strategy and risk appetite.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with Lloyds brokers, banks, and A+ rated capacity providers in London and internationally.

• Attract, manage, and grow underwriting capacity.

• Leverage proprietary data analytics to drive evidence-based, disciplined underwriting decisions.

• Ensure compliance with delegated authority agreements and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with colleagues to design tailored solutions across sovereign, sub-sovereign, corporate, and structured credit risks.

• Drive the profitable development of the Political Risk & Trade Credit portfolio, complementing the MGAs wider specialty offering.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record in underwriting Political Risk & Trade Credit (including sovereign, sub-sovereign, and corporate exposures).

• Established broker, bank, and market relationships in London and internationally.

• Demonstrated ability to attract and retain underwriting capacity.

• Commercially astute with strong negotiation and influencing skills.

• Analytical mindset, comfortable applying data-driven insights to underwriting.

• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and committed to building a long-term profitable book.
