Key Responsibilities

Underwrite and manage a book of UK and international marine cargo business

Build and maintain strong broker relationships to support growth and retention

Conduct detailed risk assessments and apply technical pricing models

Negotiate competitive and tailored terms aligned with underwriting appetite

Contribute to wording development, risk modelling, and underwriting governance

Keep abreast of global cargo trends, supply chain risk, and industry developments

Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
Candidate Profile
Were looking to speak with talented professionals who can demonstrate:
10+ years of marine cargo underwriting experience, ideally from an MGA, Lloyds, or company market background

Strong technical skills and commercial acumen in cargo risk assessment

Credible broker relationships and the ability to represent the MGA in the market

A proactive, solutions-driven mindset aligned to a service-led culture

Progress toward or completion of ACII (desirable but not essential)
