Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite and manage a book of UK and international marine cargo business

  • Build and maintain strong broker relationships to support growth and retention

  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and apply technical pricing models

  • Negotiate competitive and tailored terms aligned with underwriting appetite

  • Contribute to wording development, risk modelling, and underwriting governance

  • Keep abreast of global cargo trends, supply chain risk, and industry developments

  • Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate

Candidate Profile

Were looking to speak with talented professionals who can demonstrate:

  • 10+ years of marine cargo underwriting experience, ideally from an MGA, Lloyds, or company market background

  • Strong technical skills and commercial acumen in cargo risk assessment

  • Credible broker relationships and the ability to represent the MGA in the market

  • A proactive, solutions-driven mindset aligned to a service-led culture

  • Progress toward or completion of ACII (desirable but not essential)
