SAP Implementation Consultant / Functional consultant

We are seeking experienced SAP Functional Consultants across a range of modules for contract and permanent opportunities throughout South Africa. Candidates at all levels — from mid-level through to expert — are encouraged to apply. Roles span full-cycle implementations, global template rollouts, production support, and system optimisation projects

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on SAP functional consulting experience in at least one core module
• Demonstrated experience in at least one full SAP implementation lifecycle
• Strong ability to engage with business users and translate requirements into workable SAP solutions
• Solid understanding of integration points between your primary module and adjacent SAP modules
• S/4HANA project experience is highly advantageous
• SAP module certification is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• South African citizen or permanent resident with valid right to work in South Africa

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyse business requirements and translate these into SAP functional designs
• Configure your primary SAP module in alignment with business processes and project scope
• Conduct fit-gap analyses and present solution recommendations to project stakeholders
• Develop functional specifications for custom developments and interface requirements
• Lead and participate in all project phases: blueprinting, build, testing, training, and go-live
• Create and execute test scripts for unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Provide end-user training and develop supporting user documentation
• Deliver hypercare and post-go-live production support
• Work collaboratively with ABAP developers, Basis administrators, and solution architects
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date functional documentation throughout the project lifecycle

Successful candidates will be responsible for understanding business processes, configuring SAP solutions, and ensuring that system designs meet both functional and technical requirements. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to deliver high-quality SAP outcomes within agreed timelines.
