Sales Representative - Tyre & Battery Fitment 

A well-established automotive tyre & battery supplier is looking for a driven, customer-focused sales representative to grow and manage a trade client base.

What we are looking for

• Matric, plus a sales certificate or relevant qualification (NQF 5)
• Up to 3 years' sales experience in a retail or trade environment; automotive, battery or tyre industry exposure is advantageous
• Working knowledge of batteries and battery fitment, or a willingness to be trained
• Experience selling to workshops, garages, fitment centres or retailers
• Understanding of credit applications, debtors follow-up and consignment stock
• Computer literate (MS Office); SAP or other ERP experience advantageous
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Valid code B driver's licence and own reliable transport
• Proactive, target-driven and resilient, with strong planning skills

What you will do

• Sell products and services to new and existing trade customers and grow your area
• Open new accounts and build strong customer relationships
• Track sales against targets and report weekly and monthly
• Manage customer stock levels, stock rotation and claims with the warehouse
• Support the credit process and work with debtors to keep accounts current
• Train customers on products, pricing and promotions
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends
• Keep pricing and margins on track
