Solar installer /Lead Electrician (East Rand) Permanent ( RYY39V4X)

Requirements

• Grade 12

• Qualified Electrician with QCTO Red Seal (mandatory)

• Up to 3 years solar installation experience (roof and ground mount systems)

• National Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering

• AREP or SAPVIA PV Green Card

• Experience with micro and string inverters and monitoring platforms

• Solar installation of large scale projects - proven experience

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission residential, commercial, and industrial photovoltaic systems

• Lead on-site installations and supervise assistants

• Read and work from project plans and technical drawings

• Install solar panels, inverters, racking, batteries, and monitoring systems

• Diagnose and resolve system faults and operational issues

• Ensure all work meets SANS standards, safety requirements, and approved designs

• Communicate professionally with clients and project teams

• Control quality, costs, and timelines on site
