Plant Machine Operator (Permanent) Port Elizabeth

We are looking for a hands-on Plant Machine Operator - Manufacturing  to support production by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. The role focuses on keeping machines running efficiently, producing quality output, and reducing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up production machines in line with standard operating procedures
• Monitor machine performance and ensure consistent product quality and output
• Perform basic maintenance and assist with repairs to prevent breakdowns
• Identify faults and resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime
• Maintain production records, logs, and job cards
• Ensure all safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards are followed
• Support cost control by reducing waste and reporting any issues

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Trade test - artisan (NQF 5) completed
• Up to 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Basic mechanical understanding and fault-finding ability
• Familiarity with production processes and machine operation
• Basic computer literacy (e.g. MS Office / production systems)
