Assistant Site Manager (Fuel / Retail / Fastfood) x4 Richards Bay Permanent

Requirements 

• 5+ years' experience in assistant management at a fuel and retail site (service station environment)
• Solid understanding of fuel forecourt, convenience retail, and QSR operations
• Matric (Grade 12) — a relevant tertiary qualification is a bonus
• Computer literate (MS Office); familiarity with systems like ARCH, WinBranch, ISIS, or MIST is advantageous
• Experience with major fuel brands advantageous
• Valid driver's licence and clear criminal record (non-negotiable)

Please note: This role requires flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

Duties

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across all departments
• Manage procurement, supplier relationships, and stock control
• Handle staff scheduling, shift management, and wages
• Supervise, train, and develop your team
• Maintain high standards of customer service on the floor
• Take care of admin, reporting, and compliance requirements
• Monitor shrinkage and implement loss prevention measures
• Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met

We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Assistant Site Manager to join a busy, high-volume operation combining fuel, convenience retail, quick-service restaurants (QSRs), and a full supermarket — including butchery, bakery, deli, fruit & veg, and liquor departments.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll be at the heart of daily operations — keeping things running smoothly, driving sales, and leading a diverse team across multiple departments
