Management and Cost Accountant (Permanent) Ekurhuleni

Our client, an established manufacturing business, is looking for a hands-on Management & Cost Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Financial Manager, this role is central to cost control, management reporting and supporting key business decisions. If you enjoy working across finance and operations and have a strong eye for detail, this could be a great fit.

REQUIREMENTS

• BCom or Diploma in Financial Management, Management Accounting or Cost Management.
• CIMA articles
• Solid experience in management and cost accounting — ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP system experience 
• Strong reconciliation skills across bank, creditors, debtors, inventory and fixed assets.
• Good working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Exposure to foreign exchange and multi-currency accounting
• Sharp analytical mind with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator — comfortable engaging with both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Duties

• Prepare monthly management accounts, KPI dashboards and variance reports.
• Handle month-end journals, accruals, reconciliations and year-end close.
• Manage budgets, rolling forecasts and five-year financial planning.
• Perform cost and margin analysis — standard costing, BOM accuracy, labour and production variances.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and manage CAPEX tracking.
• Submit VAT returns and support PAYE, UIF, SDL and provisional tax processes.
• Analyse foreign exchange exposure and its impact on pricing and margins.
• Review and update pricing structures across business units.
• Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
• Partner with operations, sales and management to provide financial insight
