We are looking for an Operations Consultant – Healthcare to support the delivery of healthcare and employee benefits solutions for corporate clients. The role combines operational execution, project coordination, and client service, ensuring benefit programmes run smoothly, data is accurate, and clients receive high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Delivery

  • Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of healthcare benefit programmes, including enrolments, changes, terminations, and exception handling.

  • Validate and manage client data, ensuring accuracy of member records with insurers and administrators.

  • Liaise with internal teams and external providers to monitor claims, resolve service issues, and implement client requests.

  • Support renewals and benefit changes by preparing documentation, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Client Engagement & Support

  • Act as a primary operational contact for client HR teams.

  • Prepare concise updates and follow-ups after client meetings involving healthcare services.

  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and external providers to align expectations and ensure service quality.

Project Coordination

  • Assist with implementation projects such as scheme migrations, option comparisons, and benefit upgrades.

  • Track project tasks, timelines, and deliverables, escalating risks or bottlenecks as needed.

Process & Compliance

  • Contribute to operational procedures and service documentation.

  • Ensure processes comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements relevant to medical schemes and benefit administration.

  • Monitor service performance metrics and report on trends or issues.

Skills and Experience

Required

  • 3+ years in employee benefits operations, healthcare benefits administration, or a related operational role.

  • Degree 

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage detailed, process-driven work with multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Project Management skills and abilities

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Very strong technical analysis, reporting and presentation design experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience handling and reporting on data

  • Experience with medical schemes, benefit administration platforms, or coordinating insurer relationships.
  • Exposure to consulting or professional services environments.
