Position Overview
We are looking for a driven and results-focused Director of Business Development to join our team. This critical role will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our international influencer marketing business. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a strong background in business development, especially within the influencer marketing or social media sectors. They will lead the creation and implementation of strategic plans designed to support the company"s growth goals. The role demands in-depth knowledge of international social media platforms, strong communication skills in English, and expertise in managing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in overseas markets.
- Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key clients, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with the company's objectives.
- Conduct market analysis to uncover emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive insights, refining strategies accordingly.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams such as campaign managers and account managers to ensure client needs align with deliverables.
- Oversee project progress, ensuring the timely and high-quality execution of campaigns.
Revenue Growth:
- Meet and surpass sales targets by converting leads into long-term clients.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services to existing clients.
Requirements
Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years in business development or sales within the influencer marketing or social media industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills for effective client engagement on a global scale.
Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, along with a strong understanding of trends, ecosystems, and the creator economy.
Client Relationship Skills: Outstanding negotiation and relationship-building abilities, capable of earning trust and creating long-term partnerships with high-value clients.
Established Network: A strong network of relationships with brands or agency partners seeking influencer marketing solutions.
Adaptability & Drive: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment, adjust to market changes, and consistently achieve results under pressure.
