Purpose of the Role
Senior Relationship Officer is responsible for growing both assets (loans) and liabilities (deposits) by building and maintaining strong relationships with SMEs and retail banking clients. This role involves understanding client needs and providing tailored financial solutions to drive business growth.
Summary of Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with SMEs and retail clients, identifying financial needs and providing tailored banking solutions through regular engagement.
- Revenue Generation: Drive the growth of deposits, loans, and other products, while acquiring new clients and collaborating with the sales team for high-quality leads and cross-selling opportunities.
- Credit and Risk Management: Oversee credit risks, conduct KYC reviews, and collaborate with internal teams to manage financial structures and ensure risk compliance.
- Customer Service and Support: Handle client inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain accurate records to ensure effective portfolio management and client satisfaction.
- Business Development & Strategy: Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and prepare strategies for senior management to drive portfolio growth.
- Operational Efficiency: Assist with transactions and ensure client portfolio performance adheres to the banks risk levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in SMEs and Retail Banking or a similar role, with a proven track record in client management.
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to assess client financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for client interactions and presentations.
- Excellent rapport-building, complaint resolution, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain long-term client relationships and trust.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple client needs and priorities.
- High level of professionalism and integrity when dealing with client information and transactions.
