About the job Assistant Manager - Learning & Development
JOB PURPOSE (JUST A SUMMARY)
To support the design, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the Bank's Learning & Development initiatives, ensuring employees develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to deliver business and strategic objectives.
SUMMARY OF THE KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development and implementation of the annual Learning & Development plan, calendar, and budget.
- Conduct and consolidate Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and coordinate appropriate learning interventions.
- Coordinate training programmes, workshops, coaching, mentoring, e-learning, and other development initiatives.
- Support Graduate Trainee, talent, career, leadership, and employee development programmes.
- Partner with business units to identify technical, functional, behavioral, and leadership capability needs.
- Monitor training participation, completion, effectiveness, and application of learning in the workplace.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure timely updates in the HRIS/Learning Management System.
- Prepare L&D reports, dashboards, and management updates on training activities, costs, and outcomes.
- Support training budget monitoring, vendor management, and evaluation of training providers.
- Ensure mandatory and regulatory training requirements are completed within stipulated timelines.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and support innovative and digital learning solutions.
- Support compliance, audit requirements, and continuous improvement of L&D processes.
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED AND ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

A: Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Learning & Development, Education, Training, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Master's Degree and/or professional qualification in HR, L&D, Training, or a related field is an added advantage.
B: Required Experience:
- Minimum 3-4 years' relevant experience in Learning & Development, Training, HR, Talent Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in training coordination, TNA, learning programme design, and training evaluation.
- Experience working with training providers and consultants.
- Banking or experience in a highly regulated environment is an added advantage.
C: Required knowledge and skills
- Strong Learning & Development and adult learning knowledge.
- Training Needs Analysis and competency development.
- Strong planning, coordination, and project management skills.
- Good HR analytics, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using HRIS/Learning Management Systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical, innovative, results-oriented, and highly organized.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
