Emerging Bankers Program

1. PROGRAM PURPOSE

The Emerging Bankers Program is a three-month structured training program designed to attract, develop, and assess young Tanzanian graduates who are ready to build a career in banking. Participants gain practical exposure across the Bank's key business lines, are guided by experienced MHB bankers, and are prepared for potential employment with the Bank upon completion of the program.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learning and rotation: Actively participate in structured training and on-the-job rotations across Retail, SME, Corporate and Operations banking, as scheduled by the Bank.
• Practical exposure: Support assigned teams with day-to-day tasks under supervision, applying learning to real banking processes, products, and customer service standards.
• Mentorship: Engage with assigned MHB bankers and supervisors, seek and apply feedback, and complete all learning activities and assessments on time.
• Group business project: Work collaboratively in a team to develop a business project and present findings and recommendations to the Bank's management.
• Compliance and conduct: Observe the Bank's policies, code of conduct, confidentiality, risk, and regulatory requirements at all times.
• Attendance and professionalism: Maintain punctuality, professional appearance, and a positive representation of the Bank's brand and values.
• Program requirements: Meet all program requirements in order to qualify for the Certificate of Completion and be considered for employment.

3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, Accounting, Banking, and IT or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or graduated within the last three (3) years.
• Aged between 21 and 28 years at the time of application.
• Tanzanian national.
• Fluency in both English and Kiswahili (written and spoken).

4. ADDED ADVANTAGE

• Work experience, including internships, in banking, finance, or a related environment.
