Performance objectives
1. HR operational success
The Senior HR Business Partner will streamline HR processes, from recruitment through onboarding, performance management and offboarding. With a fast-paced startup-oriented culture and tools like Manatal, the Senior HRBP will aim to achieve a 90% satisfaction rate in employee onboarding surveys while reducing operational query response times by 20%. Within six months, HR operations will be optimized to support a team primarily focused on engineering (63%) and other critical functions such as marketing and project management.
2. Talent Development and Retention
Following Munich Ventures’ commitment to employee growth, the Senior HRBP will design and implement learning and development programs that foster skill enhancement and career progression. This includes utilizing the company’s dedicated L&D budget per employee and emphasizing work-life balance through initiatives such as flexible remote work and additional paid time off. The goal is to increase employee retention rates by 20% and ensure 90% participation in learning programs within the first quarter. These efforts will align with Munich Ventures’ core values of trust, collaboration, and global responsibility.
3. Strategic HRM
As a key partner to C-level, the HRBP will integrate HR strategies into business plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic headquarters in Munich Ventures and development hubs in branches. By completing quarterly HR planning sessions with stakeholders, the HRBP will drive workforce planning, engagement strategies, and organizational design to support the needs of 8+ startups. Within three months, this role will ensure that HR initiatives are effectively contributing to both operational and strategic goals.
4. HR Team Development and Management
Despite a smaller HR team (7% of overall staff), the HRBP will focus on fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment. This includes guiding team members through performance reviews and development plans, ensuring alignment with Munich Ventures’ emphasis on innovation and success. Within six months, a cohesive and effective HR team environment will be established, contributing to the company’s overall mission of accelerating startup growth.
Must have qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in HR, including at least 3 years in startup or tech-driven environments.
- Strategic HR Management: Proven expertise in aligning HR strategies with business goals, workforce planning, and organizational design.
- HR Technology: Proficiency with modern HR systems, including Manatal ATS or similar platforms.
- Talent Development: Experience designing and implementing L&D programs to enhance employee growth and retention.
- Operational HR: Strong knowledge of HR operations, including onboarding, compliance, and process optimization.
- Global HR Management: Experience managing HR processes across diverse geographies and cultures.
Nice have qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or certifications such as SHRM/CIPD preferred).
- Certifications in HR software or tools (e.g., HRMS, LMS platforms).
