Fleet Maintenance Mechanic

The Role:

Our Mulgowie based fleet maintenance team are embarking on a significant program of works to undertake major cyclic maintenance of our fleet of harvesters and heavy vehicles including trucks and tractors. This will be a very rewarding role for an individual who takes pride in using their skills towards prolonging the life of critical machinery. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Undertake mechanical trade-related heavy vehicle restoration
• Work with team members towards diligently progressing the maintenance schedule
• Trouble-shoot and contribute experienced thinking towards achieving desired outcomes
• Work with the wider team to provide an immediate response to emergency work
• Ensure all work is completed safely and following WHS requirements

To be successful in the position you will have:

• Trade qualifications as an Automotive Mechanic (ideally Diesel); Mechanical engineer; Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic; or similar
• Forklift Ticket - advantageous
• HR Licence - advantageous 
• Experience with basic oxy-acetylene, MIG/TIG or SMAW (stick) welding repairs
• Experience with fault finding and repairs on pneumatic or hydraulic systems
• Be self-directed and motivated
• Work well in a team environment
• Enjoy problem-solving
• Take pride in restorations and contributing to the life-cycle of major machinery
