Senior Quality Controller

Reporting to the Regional Quality Coordinator, you will work within the Quality team to ensure site capability exists to comply with Regulatory and Customer Food Safety and Quality Standards (FSANZ, SQF Manufacturing, HARPS, Freshcare, ICA, Organic and Export-Registered Establishment)

The role will support a 7-day operation.

In this role, you will provide independent verification and proof of compliance of all front-line food safety and quality activities in line with the company's Quality Management System, supporting right first time to the customer and continuous improvement activity, and escalating issues as appropriate. The role will also support new product development activities.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring teams are compliant with all required Quality and Food Safety systems
• Monitoring and supporting improvements to all aspects of the site's food safety and quality operations and escalation of deviations
• Participating in quality and operational site meetings
• Providing assistance and direction to relevant stakeholders
• Providing training and mentoring for operational staff in quality processes

Skills and experience

• Ability to support and motivate staff in a food manufacturing environment for compliance
• Process focused and driven to continuous Improvement and commercially sound
• Highly organised with good time management and great attention to detail
• Excellent investigation and report-writing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of self-initiation and motivation to set and achieve objectives
• Previous experience in the use of and application of HACCP principals will be highly regarded
• Have an understanding of the needs and challenges that a seasonal business encounters

NOTE: this role is fixed term expiring in December 2025 with the possibility to to extend
