ROLE PURPOSE:

To support the Assistant Finance Manager in supporting Production Operations reporting , variance analysis, cost benefits analysis for initiatives/projects/activities, accruals, budget transfer/request, AFE request for production Opex and Capex including supporting internal and external investment proposal process.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Finance In the Business Support Production Operation & Logistics

  • Support AFM in partnering with Production Operation team and Logistics team in delivering top quartile performance.
  • Support AFM in Production Opex and Capex closing activities, accruals and reporting.
  • Lead implementation of best practices, preventative and detective controls for accounting and reporting process for Production Operations including Logistics.
  • Lead continuous improvement for cost structure set up and transition of reporting to Power BI.
  • Provide timely review and support to the various team leads of Production operation on regular basis on actual vs budget vs forecast to ensure timely intervention.
  • Support any cost benefits analysis for initiatives/tasks/alternative proposals for Production Operation.
  • Support Production Operation team in Cost Optimisation project.

Continuous Improvement for Reporting and Accounting

  • To support implementation of Power BI for management reporting.
  • To support Oracle enhancement initiatives and to lead some of the identified projects.
  • To support migration of Macros to Power BI.

Month End Close

  • Review submission of PR and PO to ensure proper cost centre, account code and AFE code being used.
  • Support cost controller and review VOWD.
  • In charge of monthly accrual and prepayment accounting for Production Operations.
  • Advice Production Operations on PO/PR and Invoice approval routing, chart of accounts, account code and DOA.

Internal Controls (ADAA/ICOFR)

  • Support AFM in management testing of financial processes controls, entity controls and other departments internal controls.
  • Support HQ in internal controls testing.

Support Common Facilities Opex Charges and Upfront Capital charge analysis and reporting

  • Support review of all charges relating to Common Facilities together with Prod Ops team and Project team.
  • Ensure compliance to Master Sharing Agreement (MSA) and CABT.
  • Support MSA audit (if any).
  • Support MSA renegotiation and challenge changes in the Contract to ensure no value leakages.

Decommissioning Cost & Cess Review

  • Finance lead to support and challenge the Decommissioning cost and Decommissioning cess calculation.
  • Responsible for end to end accounting entries for abandonment cess payment, unwinding of interest.
  • Ensure compliance to PSC and IFRS.
  • Interface between Production Ops team and Financial Accounting team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • Degree in Accounting. Professional qualification would be an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience. Direct working experience in Upstream oil and gas would be an advantage.

Skills:

  • Attention to details, teamwork. Excel skills, Power BI and Oracle.
