Production Technician
About the job Production Technician
ROLE PURPOSE:
- Coordinate with CRO on production operations and execute local control, monitoring, functional and performance testing on production processing and support utility equipment and systems. These include equipment and systems on gas and glycol dehydration, wellhead and header, condensate, fuel gas, seawater cooling, gas compression, gas dehydration, chemical injection, gas and condensate metering, produced water treatment, drainage, filtration systems, potable water system, service water, power generators, diesel treatment, etc, etc.
- Response and troubleshoot processing and utility equipment and system upsets and alarms at site and coordinate with CRO to control and normalize these conditions before they escalate into trip and/or emergency situations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Locally operate, control, monitor, functional and performance test production processing equipment, trains and system via local panels and/or control systems such as gas glycol dehydration, wellhead and header, condensate, fuel gas, seawater cooling, gas dehydration, chemical injection, gas and condensate metering, produced water treatment, drainage, filtration systems, etc, etc.
- Locally operate, control monitor, functional and performance test production support utility equipment, and system via local panels and/or control systems such as potable water system, service water, power generators, diesel treatment, etc,
- Locally operate, control monitor, functional and performance test plant safeguarding, firefighting and emergency evacuation equipment and systems via local panels and/or control systems such as fire suppression and extinguishing, fire water, foam, lifeboats, etc,
- Coordinate with CRO and execute isolation and depressurisation of above production processing, support utilities and firefighting equipment / train / system at the field for maintenance activities.
- Coordinate, supervise and carry out material and equipment (chemical, spare parts, foods, etc, etc) handling to and from supply boat (including diesel and potable water bunkering from the supply boat)
- Carry out process gas and condensate sampling for analysis.
HSSE
- Attend all mandatory and required HSSE training including all Take HEARRT modules.
- Observe and implement MP HSSE Golden rules at both project sites and on Pegaga platform.
- Perform assigned HSSE Critical Roles including as member of Pegaga Emergency Response Team
- Participate in any Pegaga related HSSE reviews and audits.
Training and Development
- Responsible to align own development with company staff development plan and manage own competency development through gap identification and analysis.
- Responsible to close those identified skills and competency gaps by identifying and attending appropriate trainings.
- KPI to be self-managed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge:
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent or
- Preferable with *BTEC ONC (Process Level 2) qualification
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as operators on plant start-up and shutdown operations, preferably in offshore gas production processing facilities or any other relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry (for Junior level).
- Minimum 10 years of experience as operators, specifically in plant start-up and shutdown operations, ideally within offshore gas production processing facilities or any other related experience in the Oil and Gas industry (for Senior level).
Skills:
- Computer proficient in the use Microsoft Office and Outlook and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Good communicator and organizer at all levels; fluent in English, oral and written.
- Ability to understand and effectively use plant operations procedures and manual.
- Ability to monitor and control production process equipment and system performances and conditions such as flowrates, pressures, temperatures, levels, etc.,
- Skill in handling plant production process upset and emergencies.
- Skill in troubleshooting plant production processes including ability to provide appropriate response to process alarms.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and speak English.
