Role Purpose:
Lead, implement, and maintain the Project Risk Management process throughout the Execute Phase to support safe, efficient, and successful delivery of the Project. The role is responsible for ensuring project risks and opportunities are systematically identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored, and reported to enable informed decision-making, project assurance, execution readiness, and successful delivery of major offshore development activities.

The role acts as the focal point for the project risk management system and ensures risk information is integrated across cost, schedule, commercial, technical, and execution planning activities to support management visibility and decision-making.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the Project Risk Management Framework.
  • Maintain the project risk register and act as the focal point for Risk Connect by Active Risk Manager (ARM) or equivalent risk management system.
  • Ensure risks and opportunities are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored, reported, and escalated consistently across the project.
  • Facilitate risk workshops, reviews, and assessments with Package Managers, Discipline Leads, Contractors, and Risk Owners.
  • Coordinate qualitative and quantitative risk assessment activities, including QSRA / CSRA inputs.
  • Monitor mitigation actions, track close-out progress, and escalate overdue or ineffective actions.
  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards, management summaries, and decision-support materials.
  • Integrate risk information with project controls, including cost, schedule, forecasting, contingency, and execution planning.
  • Promote proactive risk ownership, accountability, and risk-based decision-making across the project team.
  • Ensure HSSE-related risks are captured, assessed, monitored, and reported within the project risk management process.
  • Comply with all Company HSSE Policies, Standards, and Procedures.


Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Risk Management, Business, or other relevant disciplines.

Professional certification in Risk Management, Project Controls, or Project Management (PMI-RMP, PMP, AACE or equivalent) is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 15 years of experience in Project Risk Management, Project Controls, Project Services, or related disciplines within the oil & gas industry.

Demonstrated experience in:

  • Supporting major offshore, FPSO, deepwater, or capital project developments.
  • Leading project risk management processes across Select, Define, FEED, and Execute phases.
  • Managing project risk registers across multi-package delivery environments.
  • Facilitating risk workshops and management review sessions.
  • Supporting quantitative and qualitative risk assessments including QSRA / CSRA.
  • Working with senior leadership, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Using enterprise risk systems such as Risk Connect by ARM, Safran Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, or equivalent.

Skills:

1. Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of project risk management principles and governance.
  • Good understanding of project controls integration including schedule, cost, contingency, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with major capital project delivery and offshore development environments.
  • Understanding of risk methodologies including risk registers, Monte Carlo analysis, QRA, QSRA, CSRA, HAZID, and workshop facilitation.
