Network Deployment Engineer

• Critical Skills:
• Cumulus OS, OSPF, BGP, and campus WAN expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Mellanox technologies, including InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions.
• Proficiency with Mellanox hardware and tools (e.g., Mellanox OFED, SwitchX, Spectrum).
• Strong networking protocols, configuration, and troubleshooting knowledge.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Deployment Engineer with extensive expertise in network deployments, particularly with Mellanox technologies, to join a dynamic team in the SF Bay Area. This role requires quarterly travel to Mexico to oversee and support deployments. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience with InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions and a proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot advanced network environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and deploy network solutions using Mellanox hardware and technologies.
• Configure, test, and support InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize expertise in Cumulus OS, OSPF, BGP, and campus WAN to deliver reliable network designs.
• Collaborate with clients to propose tailored solutions and provide best practices guidance.
• Perform on-site installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and maintain network performance for high availability and reliability.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to client teams for operational continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance deployment efficiency.
• Travel quarterly to Mexico for hands-on support of deployments.

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in network engineering or deployment.
• Proficiency in Cumulus OS, OSPF, BGP, and campus WAN.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Mellanox technologies and tools (e.g., Mellanox OFED, SwitchX, Spectrum).
• Strong knowledge of InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions, including network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to travel quarterly to Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation tools such as Python and Ansible.
• Familiarity with networking hardware from Cisco and Juniper.
• Certifications like CCNA or CCNP.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
