Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team on a multiyear contract. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data analysis, SQL/Python programming, and data visualization tools to deliver impactful insights to a wide range of consumers. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing data solutions, and implementing processes using on-premises and cloud computing infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance SQL/Non-SQL-based data analytics processes through all phases of development and upkeep.
  • Analyze large-scale complex numerical and textual data to identify trends and unlock insights.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to deliver actionable data insights.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data visualizers to deliver projects.
  • Utilize Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Infrastructure and on-premises solutions for data science projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in:
    • Data analysis
    • SQL and Python programming
    • Plotly Enterprise or Power BI development
  • Strong understanding of database design, data mining, and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration techniques.
  • Proven ability to create effective data visualizations using Power BI and/or Plotly Enterprise.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver technical and non-technical information to all levels of management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Python, Jupyter Notebook/Lab, Visual Studio Code, or similar tools for large-scale data analysis.
  • Experience with supervised/unsupervised machine learning model development (clustering, classification, regression).
  • Familiarity with API endpoint configuration and data pipeline management.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and their implementation in data ingestion processes.
  • Experience working with Agile principles and utilizing tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Background in cybersecurity frameworks and related data management.
