Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations at a mining site. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory control, material receiving and dispatching, warehouse safety, and leading the warehouse team to ensure efficient and accurate operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the site warehouse.
- Manage the receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to replenish stock.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and inventory procedures.
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse personnel.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare warehouse reports, inventory analysis, and KPI reports.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably in the mining, construction, or heavy industry sector.
- Previous experience supervising a warehouse team.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material management.
- Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle, Pronto, Odoo, or similar).
- Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
- English communication skills are preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work on a roster basis at a mining site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing mining equipment, spare parts, and MRO inventory.
- Forklift certification or knowledge of warehouse equipment is an advantage.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and HSE requirements.
- Experience in multinational or foreign-invested companies is preferred.
