Job Summary

 a Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end procurement process for mining operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, purchasing equipment and materials, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process from purchase requisition to purchase order and delivery.
• Source and evaluate local and international suppliers.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure the best value.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Purchase mining equipment, spare parts, consumables, and operational materials.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, operations, and finance teams.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procurement procedures.
• Track purchase orders and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare purchasing reports.
• Support contract administration and supplier documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the mining, heavy industry, or engineering sector.
• Experience purchasing mining equipment, mechanical parts, industrial supplies, or MRO materials is highly preferred.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, and Incoterms.
• Advanced English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc.) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international suppliers.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures and logistics.
• Understanding of mining operations and equipment.
• CIPS or other procurement certification is an advantage.
