About the job Merchandising Management Specialist
The Merchandising Management Specialist supports the execution of store layouts, planograms, display standards, and in-store experience initiatives for MR.DIY stores nationwide. The role ensures that visual merchandising standards are consistently implemented, store setups are delivered accurately, and layout improvements are supported through field audits and data insights.
This position is heavily field-based and provides the operational backbone to the Senior Manager by assisting in new store openings, renovations, campaign rollouts, compliance checks, and continuous improvement activities across the store network.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Layout and Display Execution
- Implement store layouts, planograms, zoning, and display standards based on approved designs.
- Support new store openings, renovations, relayouts, and seasonal display setups.
- Coordinate with store teams, setup crews, and RTM to ensure accurate and timely execution.
- Ensure fixtures, signage, and communication materials are properly installed and aligned with brand standards.
Visual Standards Management and Documentation
- Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining Visual Merchandising Manuals, toolkits, and execution guides.
- Document completed setups through photos, layout records, and compliance checklists.
- Maintain an organized database of visual references and execution files for easy retrieval.
Field Audits, Feedback & Display Optimization
- Conduct regular store visits to audit compliance with VM standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Gather customer, store staff, and operational feedback to support layout refinement and display optimization.
- Coordinate with BI/Analytics or Procurement teams to track the impact of display changes on conversion and sales.
Training and Store Coordination
- Provide on-ground coaching to store teams on display setup, fixture usage, and VM guidelines.
- Support VM-related training programs for new stores, regional teams, and store leaders.
- Coordinate materials and schedules needed for store setup activities and executions.
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Submit field visit reports, compliance findings, and improvement recommendations to the Senior Manager.
- Track store-by-store execution status and maintain logs of visual improvements.
- Support administrative tasks related to VM materials, scheduling, documentation, and coordination.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Management, Design, or related field.
- 2–3 years experience in retail visual merchandising, store setup execution, or retail operations.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and practical problem-solving skills.
- Good coordination and communication abilities; comfortable working with cross-functional teams and store personnel.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with CANVA, Photoshop, or basic design tools preferred.
- May be required to travel to stores and business locations nationwide to support project implementation, on-ground assessments, and strategic initiatives.
