Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance and Reporting

  • Prepare tax computations, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax, and other local taxes.
  • Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely remittance of tax payments to avoid penalties.

Tax Audit Support

  • Assist in handling tax audits and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Gather and organize documentation to support tax positions during audits.
  • Assist in addressing tax notices, ensuring prompt resolution of issues raised by tax authorities.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Assist in monitoring regulatory updates and ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including the submission of required reports to government agencies (e.g., SEC, BIR, LGUs, etc.).
  • Maintain a calendar of filing deadlines for all statutory and compliance requirements.

Internal Controls and Policy Adherence

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support the development and update of tax and compliance-related company policies as needed.

Tax Planning and Advisory

  • Assist in tax planning initiatives to minimize tax exposure and maximize tax efficiency.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax filings, payments, and correspondence with tax authorities.
  • Ensure documentation is easily accessible for internal or external audit purposes.

Training and Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and other relevant regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in tax preparation, filing, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with BIR e-filing systems and other regulatory platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel in particular).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work onsite from Mondays to Fridays from 9 AM to 6 PM
