The Web Developer is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing web applications that translate business requirements into functional, user-friendly solutions. This role contributes directly to the organizations digital transformation initiatives by testing and implementing new frameworks, tools, and features. The Web Developer ensures applications are secure, scalable, and responsive, while supporting innovation and continuous improvement. This position reports directly to the Development Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications and internal systems
  • Perform integrations with third-party and internal systems to ensure seamless interoperability
  • Automate processes using external applications or APIs
  • Collaborate with Systems/Application Teams to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure/Technical teams to meet security, architecture, and deployment standards
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce adherence to development policies and best practices
  • Participate in R&D initiatives, exploring new technologies and proposing innovative solutions
  • Support digital transformation projects by testing and implementing new frameworks, tools, and features

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in web development
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining secure, scalable, and responsive web applications

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
  • Experience with server-side technologies (Node.js, PHP, Python, or .NET)
  • Knowledge of API development and integration (REST, GraphQL)
  • Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong grasp of security compliance, responsive design, and performance optimization
